Benefit Golf Tourney 2012 Surpasses Previous Year
Simply saying that the 2012 Annual Benefit Golf Tournament was a success would be a bit of an understatement. Why? Not only were the numbers vastly improved from the previous year, but the course was full, and it was the most money we have raised in a summer golf tournament. With the growth in number of participants, everyone involved appeared to be in high spirits and ready to hit the golf course for a great cause. For those who are unfamiliar with why this significant event takes place, here is a little history behind it all.
Our Reece and Nichols agents spend an immense amount of hours volunteering and giving back to the local community. We believe it is essential to take care of those in our Reece and Nichols family, in order to ensure their ongoing assistance in the community. Therefore, once a year we host this golf tournament to benefit our Reece and Nichols Benevolent Fund. The Fund assists our agents during times of need, and the tournament is the fund’s source of donations.
The typical Benefit Golf Tournament consists of golfing, delicious food, prizes and an auction towards the end of the day. This year was switched up a little, with the auction being held at one of our quarterly CanDo events. The auction also proved to be an eminent success.
Results from the tournament:
1st Place Men’s Team: Larry Rohovit, Steve Fairchild, Derek Seid and Dan Huttinger
1st Place Women’s Team: Bonnie Maret, Trish Wood, Lindsey Frazier and Marcia Wallace
1st Place Co-Ed Team: Carol Lalumondier, Tyson Barnes, Richard Theiman and Scott Fleming
Marshmallow Put: Derek Seid
Putting Contest: Nick Pickard
Congratulations to the winners, and a huge thanks to all our sponsors, as well as those who participated. We hope to see you all at next year’s tournament!
